Kithara Software, innovator for PC-based real time, has announced participating as exhibitor at this year’s VISION trade fair from October 4 to 6. The Berlin software company will showcase the latest technologies for image capturing, processing and image data storage in real time at booth 8C12 in hall 8.

At the world’s leading trade show for machine vision, the most recent developments of “Kithara RealTime Vision”, a PC-based software solution for real-time capturing, processing and storage of image data, will be presented. Among these new developments is the support for 10 GigE Vision cameras including link aggregation for combining multiple 10 Gigabit Ethernet streams into one, thus achieving even higher image data rates. At the same time, the recently supported 100 Gigabit Ethernet controllers prepare the real-time system for future camera speeds (some camera manufacturers already offer 25, 50, 100 Gigabit Ethernet) or particularly data-intensive multi-camera systems. For these systems, the Kithara real-time system also enables implementation of the PGC-1000 frame grabber card by company PLC2, which allows the CPU to be almost completely offloaded during image acquisition processes within machine vision applications. For the storage of image data, multiple NVMe SSDs can be used in RAID 0 groups, which are able to achieve extremely high write and read speeds in a real-time context.
