Fast Fieldbus for Automotive Networking
Kithara Software has integrated the support of the network protocol FlexRay into the company’s real-time extension. This way, the field bus system, commonly used in automotive networking, can be controlled with hard real-time capabilities, which is often employed in fields such as test system development and the supplier industry.
Better with Standards
Founded by German premium automobile manufacturers, the Association for Standardization of Automation and Measuring Systems (ASAM) welcomes its newest member. This move will enable Kithara Software to expand its collaboration potential in the field of automotive testing.
New Version 9.63
Starting today, we also support the new Windows 10. As of now, our customers are able to download Version 9.63 of the »RealTime Suite« from our service portal. Version 9.63 is the very first to support the brand new Windows. Additionally, for the automotive field, FlexRay can now be used in real-time.
Windows 10 Support Now Available
With Version 9.63 the »RealTime Suite« can also be used under Windows 10. This way, customers are able to test the new features of Windows 10 with the current version 9.63. As mentioned before, real-time capabilities require Windows to run in dedicated mode by using one or more CPU cores exclusively for the real-time extension.
FlexRay - The Fast Automotive Bus
With FlexRay – the fast bus system for the car of the future – the »RealTime Suite« will soon have covered the support of all the relevant bus systems in the automotive field. This enables automobile manufacturers and suppliers as well as test system engineers to employ PC-based real-time communication for the monitoring and testing of components and systems.

New Version of the DOS Enabler
With the new version 9.61 of the »DOS Enabler«, DOS applications can be integrated into the Windows environment more easily. New features include startup via desktop icon or autorun registry entry, automatic closing of the DOS Window or rebooting of the PC, access to drives and many more.
Improved MultiTasking real-time properties
The properties of the multitasking real-time system of the »RealTime Suite« have been greatly improved with Version 9.61. On several systems and configurations, jitter has been decreased by up to 80%. Additionally, network interrupts, CAN interrupts as well as UART interrupts now run completely within the task context.

The »RealTime Suite« is a modular real-time extension for Windows, which combines hardware-dependent programming, communication, automation protocols and image processing. With seamless integration of the modules you get all required components in one piece.

The software supports the current Windows OS from WinXP to Win10, 32-bit as well as 64-bit. The preemptive real-time multi-tasking system is programmable in C/C++ or Delphi. By using a DLL, the real-time system can also be embedded in a C# application.
